Performance Order of Semi_Final Night 2 of The 2012 Houston’s Funniest Person Contest

Semi 2 goes down tonight! 9pm at the NEW home of the Houston Comedy Union, Baker St Pub at 5510 Morningside in Rice Village…come see who moves on to finals week of the #2012HFP!

The top 7 move on, but because of how tight the scores are, damn near everyone has a chance to advance. We should see some amazing performances tonight, as some very talented comics find themselves with their backs against the wall, needing a high score to stay alive.

This is the first time in the history of the HFP that a round takes place over multiple nights. The competitors have had just a few days to formulate strategies and make adjustments if needed. I’m very excited to see who steps up and who steps back tonight.

After we had a random drawing for spots on semi night 1, the contestants voted for a simple inversion method for performance order tonight, choosing to split the list in half and moving the bottom of the list to the top. Check it out…

1 Barrett Goldsmith
2 Wil Seagrim
3 Ken Boyd
4 Stephen Cook
5 Mark Hurtado
6 GW Boles
7 Justin Thompson
8 Ryan Thauburn
9 Kristin Lindner
10 Joe Bates
11 Matthew Broussard
12 Dianne Gallagher
13 Owen Dunn
14 Slade Ham
15 Mickey Housley

The winner of the 1991 HFP, Billy D. Washington will be tonight’s host.

Reminder, the top 7 highest two-night scores will advance to the finals, which begin on Thursday June 14th at the Comedy Showcase. The 8th & 9th place finishers will battle head-to-head in the FINAL WILDCARD throwdown on Wednesday night at Fitzgerald’s.

See you there!
