HCU Sunday Night with the Stand Up Is Dead Tour, Mack Lindsay & Steven Kendrick

The next two weeks at the HCU are going to be guaranteed BONKERS HORRORSHOW!!

This Sunday we welcome Mack Lindsay and Steven Kendrick back to Texas from their long self-imposed California exile. They are fresh from Hipster-laden Austin and SXSW…so come on out and show these guys what real crowds are like and slap the patchouli off their ponchos!

Here’s how they describe their tour…

Stand Up is Dead is not a dark show, an edgy show, or a punk alternative themed show of any sort.

It is a movement.

A renaissance of sorts, Stand Up is Dead has the salt, or if you will, the realness that seems to be lacking in most stand up performances nowadays.

There are exceptions of note, but not enough. More often than not, when watching a stand up performance, some portion of the audience is left saying, “Ok, I get it, that was a cute observation, an entertaining pratfall, …But who are you”?

And it’s that group of people this show speaks to. Stand Up is Dead is a raw, real, and at times artistically challenging performance. At the heart of it though, at the end of the night, when the curtains draw to a close,….it’s just flat out fucking funny.

They said it, now its up to you to show up and laugh.

Danny Rios, Matt Kirsch and Reverend Bart also scheduled to appear.

Show starts at 10:30 pm, Sherlock’s River Oaks, 1952-A West Gray, Houston TX 77006

Sean Rouse returns home on the 28th to blow your mind!! No ponytails allowed! Not a joke!
